Seyuan is located in Langshan Hill area which is the most popular scenic spot in Nantong City. The total area of Seyuan is about 35 hectares with Seyuan Road in its north, Yuanlin Road in west, Huayuan Road in south and Jie He in its east. Zhang Jian was buried here, who is famous as the Late Qing Dynasty scholar, as well as the Chinese famous modern industrialist and educator. Zhang Jian¡¯s tomb is opposite to Jianshan Hill. Wen Shu monastery which is on the top of the hill is like a giant incense burner. The meteorological observatory on Junshan Hill and the Zhiyun Tower on Wolf Hill are like a pair of candle holders on both sides of the incense burner. They are high in the clouds which has the implied meaning of incense constantly. |
